PBL

Our group is called Serendipity in my group there is me and Djarn.
We have decided to do Animal Abuse.
The websites we used are Wikipedia, Aspca, Safe, RSPCA and Human Society.
Some people don’t know how to look after animals and  some people like to take their anger out on animals or they just can’t be bothered looking after it. We are going to visit SPCA so we can interview the staff and see how the animals are after being abused. Then we will make a facebook page and fundraise. So hopefully we will spread enough awareness for it to stop.

Drama 18/9/17

Wendy: Boy, why are you crying? You say that you are not crying? Oh, yes you are. What is your name? Wendy, Moira, Angela, Darling. What’s yours? Peter Pan, is that all? Oh, it is. In that case, I’m so sorry. Where do you live? The second star to the right and straight ‘till what? What a funny address. I ah mean, is that what they put on your letters? Well if you don’t get letters, you mother must get… You don’t have a mother? Oh, Peter.
Lost Boy: I saw Pirates! I saw Indians! Not only did I see Pirates, and Indians, but I saw a wonderfuller thing. High over the lagoon I saw the loveliest, great, white bird. It is flying this way. It looks weary and as it flies it moans, “Poor Wendy”. I think there are birds called Wendies. See, here it comes! Look how white it is. Hey, there’s Tinkerbell. Tink is trying to hurt the Wendy. She says Peter wants us to shoot the Wendy. Let us do what Peter wishes. Out of my way, Tink. I’ll shoot it. I’ve shot the Wendy! Peter will be so pleased!
Frog Prince: Hello. My name is Prince Frederick and I am a . . . A fly addict. It’s all my father’sfault. No, really. I’m not just trying to blame someone else. You see, when he made up the list for my christening he made a slight error. He left my godmother off the list and she got a little . . . Upset. She sort of flew off the handle and turned me into a frog. She has since sought therapy to try and find better ways of dealing with her stress.  Anyway, I had to get a beautiful princess to kiss me so that I could turn back to normal. You can imagine the line of them just waiting to do so. It took me twenty years, but I finally found one willing to kiss my slimy frog lips. After my transformation we were married and supposed to live happily ever after.  Unfortunately, she broke up with me because of my addiction. Well, that and the lily pads in the bathtub drain.

Elizabeth Deuchrass

Collaborative partnerships rely on participation by at least two parties who agree to share resources, such as finances, knowledge, and people. Organisations in a collaborative partnership share common goals. ... The relationships between collaborative partners can lead to long-term partnerships that rely on one another. For example, my mum is Pakeha & my dad is Maori & Niuean but they both worked together to make me.

an economy in which growth is dependent on the quantity, quality, and accessibility of the information available, rather than the means of production.

Elizabeth founded a consultancy business called EDAL (Enterprise Development Alongside Learning). It works with businesses to develop partnership relationships with local schools.

Elizabeth believes that if young people develop life skills as they go through the education system they will be equipped to contribute to society.

Macronutrients

  • What is Protein

any of a class of nitrogenous organic compounds which have large molecules composed of one or more long chains of amino acids and are an essential part of all living organisms, especially as structural components of body tissues such as muscle, hair, etc., and as enzymes and antibodies.
    "a protein found in wheat"

What does protein do for the body

Hair and nails are mostly made of protein. Your bodyuses protein to build and repair tissues. You also useprotein to make enzymes, hormones, and other bodychemicals. Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.

In the holidays I went to Easter camp it was pretty amazing we were learning about god, slept in tents, hanged out with mates but on the second to last night we were doing worship and I had my head on a leaders shoulder but then my soul just went out of my body and my soul was just there watching my body and my legs were like paralysed I couldn't stand up or anything so they had to lie my down on the ground and then I just woke up in my body it was pretty scary but magical too. I also went baby shopping with my best friend for my sister in law the baby is a girl she's due on 13/8/17  can't wait. Then to finish off the holidays we had Mackenzie's birthday it was pretty fun we went to laser strike and I had a sleepover with my best friend.

Abomination Review

In English we have been studying the story Abomination by Robert Swindells.

In the story it shows the true power of friendship and what it's like having no friends and an abusive family. They have a deep family secret and no one is allowed to find out. She gets bullied but then a new boy starts and her whole world changes his does too. This is a very magical story.

P.e My active lifestyle

Achieved

I was prepared and organised for all of my classes.
I tried my hardest in all the activities.
I had all of my gear.
When I couldn't do something I asked how to do it.
I listened to the teachers.
I did long jump, high jump, discus, shotput and 100 metres.
I have improved.
I have learnt heaps.

If I was running athletics

I would have snacks and drinks after every event.
I would motivate everyone.
I would let people choose how many events to do and what ones to choose.

10 min writing sample

Once upon a time, there was a taniwha called Moana. Moana had a best friend called Rakau was a seahorse. They did everything together they, shared secrets, they ate kai together, they went swimming together. But one day a group of maori chiefs came and threw a hapoon at Moana but Rakau jumped in the way to save his best friend Moana. Moana tried his hardest to save him but he was gone. Moana didn't know what to do who was going to be his best friend now. But all of a sudden this girl came out of nowhere wearing a pounamu necklace around her neck she went up to Rakau and put the pounamu on his heart and he came back to life.

I found the 10 minute writing task easy because we didn't have a certain task we had to follow. I have 124 words.
