Tomorrow when the war began

CHAPTER ONE

What are the advantages and disadvantages of first-person narration?
An advantage is when you through the characters eyes and the way they feel in the book, but a disadvantage is that you can only see through one of the characters perspectives.
Why do you think Ellie needs to tell the story in chronological order?
So that they can be remembered (I think). Or to make the reader knows what order goes in and what happens everytime the event happens.
Pick one interesting word from the chapter, find it's meaning, and explain why it's interesting?
An interesting word that got me is Chronological, Chronological is following the order of which they occurred. This word is interesting to me because it sounds pretty cool.
John Marsden foreshadows several events and characters in this chapter. Make three predictions based on the evidence in the text about what may occur later in the story.
My First prediction is that during trips to hell they could get lost and someone might get hurt. My second Prediction is They could all end up separated and probably never be a whole anymore. My Third prediction they might end up regretting things like going on the trip so they probably head off back home.
What kind of story do you think Ellie is going to tell? use evidence from the text to support your answers.
Probably something interesting and pieces of information about Hell.
What set of skills do these characters have that convince their parents that they can 'go bush' independently. Find examples of three characters.
a skill of begging and persuading their parents to let them go and make their parents trust them that they can go without any parents or caregiver to look after them.
